For bookkeepers and accountants

Twenty minutes with you, before anything is sold

I made a 13-week cash workbook for owner-run businesses. Before I sell it to anyone, I want to hear from people who work with small businesses every day: would you use it with a client, and what would make it useless?

The talk

Three questions, twenty minutes

  1. When a client asks "will I run out of cash?", what do you show them today?
  2. Would one plain file per client business help you, or get in your way?
  3. What would have to be true for you to put it in front of a client?

What you get: a look inside the workbook, the one-page Cliff Brief example (PDF), my reply within 2 working days, and first sight of the advisor licence wording once it exists. Nothing to sign and nothing to buy.

Or by email

There is no phone line. Everything starts in writing.

It is for you if

  • small-business clients ask you about cash,
  • some of their books are not clean enough for live feeds,
  • you would rather give a client one plain file than a login.

It is not for you if

  • every client already gets a weekly cash forecast from you and you are happy with it,
  • you need bookkeeping or tax software. This is a planning file, not that.

What exists, and what does not

The workbook is on sale for one business. The advisor licence does not exist: its wording is not final and it is not on sale. That is why I am asking you first. See the workbook page, the look-inside PDF and the method, including what has not been tested.

Questions

Can I use it with several clients?

That is what the licence is for. The terms are not final, so it is not on sale yet. A single purchase covers one business.

Do I see my clients' numbers?

No. The workbook is a file. There is no account, no upload and no bank login, so the numbers stay in the file on your computer or your client's. The simulator on this site runs in the browser and sends nothing.

Is this bookkeeping or tax software?

No. It is a planning tool: it shows what follows from the numbers you and your client type, week by week. It does not keep books, file anything or give tax advice.
