Terms of sale
1. Who sells, and who does what
You buy through Sold through Link, 354 Oyster Point Blvd, South San Francisco, CA 94080, United States ("the checkout provider"). The checkout provider is the seller of record: your contract of sale is with it, it takes your payment, works out and collects any VAT or sales tax, and sends your receipt. Rami Tanous, sole trader, trading as CFO Brain, Putlitzstraße 16, 10551 Berlin ("we") made the workbook, give you the licence in section 6, deliver the file and give the support in section 10. Contact: hello@getcfobrain.com.
2. The product
CFO Brain 13-Week Cash Workbook, version 1.2.1: a digital file (.xlsx) with a START HERE guide and six working tabs. A standard .xlsx file, checked in Apple Numbers. Not yet checked in Excel or Google Sheets. You need a spreadsheet program that opens .xlsx files. It is a planning tool, not financial, tax or legal advice.
3. Price and tax
US$149 one time. Any VAT or sales tax is added at checkout. Prices are in US dollars. The checkout shows the final amount before you pay.
4. Payment
You pay on the secure checkout page of the checkout provider. We never see your card details. The checkout provider's own terms and privacy notice apply to the payment and are linked on its page.
5. Delivery
You can download the file once your payment is confirmed, on the download page that opens right after checkout. The page checks that your payment went through before it hands out the file. The automatic download closes after a while. If the download does not work, or you lose the page, write to hello@getcfobrain.com with your order number and we send you the file.
6. Licence
You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the file for one business: your own. You may open it yourself and share it with your accountant, bookkeeper or lender for that business's planning. You may not resell, rent, redistribute or publish the file, or pass copies to others. The copyright and all other rights stay with Rami Tanous.
7. 14-day refund promise
Ask within 14 days of buying and you get a full refund, for any reason, including the VAT or sales tax you paid. See the refund page. This promise is voluntary. It is in addition to your statutory rights and does not limit them.
8. Statutory right of withdrawal for consumers
This section is for consumers: people who buy for purposes outside their trade, business or profession, where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, as it does for consumers in the European Union.
Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract was concluded.
How to withdraw. To exercise the right you must tell us or the checkout provider of your decision to withdraw by a clear statement. The simplest way is the page Withdraw from your contract, which prepares an email to us. You can also write to Rami Tanous, sole trader, trading as CFO Brain, Putlitzstraße 16, 10551 Berlin, email hello@getcfobrain.com, or use the customer support of the checkout provider. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. It is enough to send your statement before the 14 days have ended.
Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw, you get back all payments you made for the purchase, including any VAT or sales tax you paid, without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of the day on which your withdrawal reaches us. The refund goes to the payment method you used, through the checkout provider, and it costs you nothing. You do not have to pay anything for having downloaded or used the file.
Digital content. For a digital file that is delivered without a physical medium, the statutory right of withdrawal can end early if delivery started after you expressly agreed to that and confirmed that you lose the right of withdrawal once delivery starts (section 356 of the German Civil Code). Whether or not that rule applies to your purchase, our voluntary 14-day refund promise applies in any case: for 14 days after you buy, you can ask for a full refund for any reason. See the refund page.
Model withdrawal form (optional)
Complete and send this form only if you want to withdraw from the contract.
To Rami Tanous, Putlitzstraße 16, 10551 Berlin, hello@getcfobrain.com:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the purchase of the following digital product: CFO Brain 13-Week Cash Workbook.
Ordered on (date): ______________ Order number: ______________
Name of consumer: ______________
Address of consumer (only if you write on paper): ______________
Signature (only if you write on paper): ______________ Date: ______________
9. Statutory rights if the file is defective
The statutory rules on defects in digital products apply (sections 327 ff. of the German Civil Code). If the file does not work as described, you can ask us to put it right, and the statutory rights to a price reduction or to end the contract remain yours. Nothing in these terms limits them. Tell us about a defect by writing to hello@getcfobrain.com.
10. Support
Questions about the file: write to hello@getcfobrain.com. We reply within 2 working days (Monday to Friday, not public holidays in Berlin).
Formula errors: if a formula in the file as delivered gives a wrong result because of a mistake in the file, we fix it and send you the corrected file, for 12 months after your purchase.
Support covers the file as delivered. It does not cover your own numbers or accounting, bookkeeping, tax or legal questions. These promises add to your statutory rights.
11. Liability
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act, for defects we have fraudulently concealed, and for any quality we have expressly warranted.
For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an essential contractual obligation, that is one that makes the proper performance of the contract possible and on which you may regularly rely. In that case our liability is limited to the damage that is typical for a contract of this kind and foreseeable when the contract was made. Otherwise we are not liable for slight negligence.
Your statutory rights in case of defects (section 9) are not affected.
12. Planning-tool disclaimer
CFO Brain is a planning tool, not financial, tax or legal advice. The workbook shows what follows from the numbers you type. It does not know your taxes and does not connect to your bank.
13. Governing law and courts
German law applies to these terms and the licence, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you usually live, and you can bring a claim in the courts the law gives you. If you buy as a business, the courts of Berlin are the venue, as far as the law allows.
14. Language, contact and dispute resolution
These terms are in English. Save or print them before you buy if you want a copy. Contact: hello@getcfobrain.com.
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle).
The European Commission's online dispute resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and no longer exists, so there is no link to it here. Please write to us first at hello@getcfobrain.com; we will try to find a solution with you.
